Spanish giants Atletico Madrid will push to sign Nigeria international striker Ademola Lookman in from Atalanta in the January transfer window according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Lookman has been linked with a move away from the team in the January transfer window, after a failed attempt in the summer to push a move by going on strike.
Reports say he has already made up his mind on an exit before the end of this month, and has already informed the club of his intention to consider other options now rather than the summer which the club prefers.
Speaking yesterday Romano said the forward has always been a target for the Spanish side, whose coach Diego Simeone admires and made attempt last summer to have him in his ranks.
“Ademola Lookman is a player Atlético Madrid have always admired. Currently, he is focused on the Champions League. We’ll see what happens from Thursday onwards”, he said.
