President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Ibrahim Musa Gusua says he is optimistic that the Super Eagles will get a favourable judgement from FIFA on their protest against DR Congo for fielding ineligible players in the world cup qualifiers playoff, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria protested against certain players in the team of DR Congo who have dual nationality, contravening the constitution of the country which frowns against the practise of dual nationality.
FIFA is expected to make a decision with Nigeria seeking for the disqualification of DR Congo who defeated Super Eagles to pick the lone ticket to represent Africa at the intercontinental playoff next month.
Gusau in an interview relayed by Nigerian journalist Austin Okon Akpan on X said he is optimistic that the Super Eagles will get a favourable judgement, that will see them play in the intercontinental playoff.
Below was what he posted on social media platform X.
