Scouts from teams in the English Premier League who were in attendance for the game between Galatasaray and Juventus left the game with a new name on their notes, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Turkish journalist Mehmet Ozcan said a host of teams from top European leagues came to the game to run the rule on Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen, but were left stunned by the performance of his teammate Gabriel Sara.
Although Osimhen got two assists in the game, it was the Brazilian who stole the show with his commanding performance in the midfield capped with the opening goal in the 5-2 win.
He was voted the man of the match, and has now found himself on the radar of teams in Europe, particularly from the English Premier League where he once had a stint in the Championship with Norwich City.
The 26 year old is valued by Galatasaray for around €30 million. A fee that teams won’t struggle to pay when he becomes available in the summer.
