Turkish giants Galatasaray are struggling to meet with their obligation to pay the salary of Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen, who joined the team on a permanent deal after spending last season on loan from Napoli.
Galatasaray agreed to pay the 27 year old a yearly salary of €21 million, but has so far found it hard to keep up to the payment since the turn of the year according to Hürriyet.
Osimhen who sat out the weekend 0-2 defeat against Konyaspor as a precaution, due to a knee complaint hasn’t been paid his salary for two consecutive months in January and February.
The club are yet to respond to the viral report, which didn’t state if it was just the case for Osimhen, or if it also affected other players in the payroll of the club .
Tomorrow Galatasaray will travel to Italy, where they will take on Juventus in the second leg of the round of 32 UEFA Champions League playoff. They hold a 5-2 lead from the first leg played in Istanbul last week.
