The Super Eagles duo of Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi played a huge role for FC Porto in their 2-1 win over German side Stuttgart in the first leg of their round of 16 game in the Europa League, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Moffi who is on loan from French Ligue 1 side Nice opened scoring with a thunderous right foot effort inside the box to hand his team the lead in the 21st minute.
It was Moffi’s second goal since moving to the Portuguese side in the January transfer window. His other goal was in the 2-1 win over Arouca in the league on the 27th of February.
With scores at 1-0, Zaidu turned provider with his well weighted cross landing on a plate for Rodrigo Mora to stab home Porto’s second goal of the night.
Stuttgart pulled a goal back in the 40th minute through Denis Undav to keep alive their chances of overturning the deficit in the return leg next week in Portugal.
