
Head coach of Sevilla Matías Almeyda has warned LaLiga defending champions about the threat of Nigeria international striker Jerome Akor Adams ahead of this weekend clash, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Akor scored the final goal for Sevilla in their 4-1 win over Barcelona in the reverse tie of this game on the 5th of October before heading to the AFCON with the senior national team of Nigeria.
He has 11 goals contribution this season with seven goals and four assists. Five of which came after his return from the AFCON and head coach of his team Almeyda has warned Barcelona about the form of the Nigerian who was on target last weekend.
“He’s doing well and is motivated, just like his teammates”, the coach said in his pre match presser ahead of tomorrow’s game against the league leaders.
Sevilla are currently 14th in the LaLiga table, six points above the drop zone but in need of more points to ensure their safety going into the final ten games of the season.
