
The senior team of Nigeria ended their participation at the four team invitational tournament with a 2-2 draw against Jordan, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria fell behind early in the game when Jordan struck from a well hit free kick that left goalkeeper Francis Uzoho with no chance.
Captain Moses Simon made it two goals in as many matches with the leveler before the half time break. Emmanuel Fernandez on his first start found the back of the net to give Nigeria the lead for the first time in the game.
Jordan drew level with a flowing team move and it ensured that Nigeria finished second in the tournament, level on point with Costa Rica but with an inferior goal difference.
Meanwhile Nigeria ended the game with ten men after Alex Iwobi was sent off in time added on.
