Derby County midfielder David Uzoh is said to be the next in line to commit his international future to the senior national team of Nigeria from England, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.
The 20 year old was is on loan to English Championship side Derby County from Crystal Palace, and has so far proven to be a good addition to the squad of the Rams.
Born in Spain to parents of Nigerian descent and raised in England, he made it clear three years ago when he made his breakthrough at Palace that he is open to the idea of playing for Nigeria even for the U20s.
Now playing at a higher level and consistently, it’s just a matter of time before he will get noticed by the handlers of the Super Eagles who are on the lookout for an alternative to Alex Iwobi.
Iwobi is currently standing alone in his role in the Super Eagles, and Ozoh who has impressed in a similar will no doubt challenge or add more depth in that department.
