Nigeria international defender Benjamin Fredrick is back to full fitness and will return to contact training next week, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Fredrick underwent meniscus surgery in November after representing Nigeria at the world cup qualifiers playoff. It ended his loan at Belgium side FC Dender from Brentford.
Now fully recovered after rehabilitation, he is set to return to training just in time before the end of the season, and also making him available for the Super Eagles in the friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively.
The Simoiben of Kaduna Academy graduate cemented his spot in the Super Eagles defence starting in six consecutive games, before picking up the injury that sidelined him from the AFCON.
Head coach of the Nigerian team Eric Chelle is a huge fan of the 20 year old, whom he gave his breakthrough last summer during the Unity Cup in London.
