Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo is available for selection to the head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle for the upcoming friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
After turning down several approaches to play for Nigeria, the 28 year old who represented England at various youth levels finally agreed to pledge his international future to Nigeria last month.
Chelle is well aware and sources close to the player said even though there has been no official communication with Chelle, some highly placed individuals in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have already contacted Chelle.
Tosin is ready to be available for selection as early as in June, when they take on Poland and Portugal respectively in two high profile games, although he will need a written clearance from the English FA to FIFA for his switch of federation.
There is still no clear cut decision yet on the path of Chelle , although he is tempted by the prospect of uniting Tosin with Calvin Bassey who was his centre back pairing while they were at Fulham.
