After nine rounds of games in which his team New England Revolution have played a game less, the 25 year old has played in all of the games so far with two goals to his name.
However it’s his overall play that has caught the attention of all in the league with his coach Marko Mitrović picking him as his most influential player in the season so far.
Yesterday he dropped another top class performance to power his team to a 2-1 win away to Atlanta United, and during the game one of the commentators referred to him as the best midfielder in the league at the moment.
He will be hoping he has done enough to earn a spot in the Super Eagles team for either the Unity Cup or the high profile friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively.
