
Nigeria U17 forward Umar Abubakar scored his second goal of the season in Portugal with a second half goal to help his team Famalicao to a 2-2 draw against unbeaten Benfica, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Playing in his 20th game of the season, the lanky forward who joined the team in the summer transfer window on a free transfer from Gent scored in the 78th minute.
He was the quickest to react to a cross into the box to help his team make a full recovery after falling two goals behind in the opening 19 minute of the game. A result which strengthened their position as 5th on the leg.
With two games left to play in the Portuguese league, Jose Mourinho team are the only team in Europe yet to taste defeat but it won’t be enough to win the league with FC Porto already nine points clear with six left to play for.
Porto have been crowned champions already with the Nigerian duo of Zaidu Sanusi and Terem Moffi a part of their title winning run.
