Getafe has confirmed the return of Nigeria international midfielder Uche Chrisantus after his failed loan stint in England with Crystal Palace, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chrisantus joined Palace in the summer on a loan deal with an obligation to buy if he makes certain number of appearances. He however failed to break into the team of Olivier Glasner.
His poor form also cost him a spot in the senior national team of Nigeria and according to the Sporting Director of Getafe, he will return to the club after failing to meet the criteria for a permanent deal.
”It’s a given [that Uche will return] because the player hasn’t met the required number of appearances; it is clear he is coming back,” Toni Muñoz was quoted as saying by Fichajes.
He is however expected to depart the team on a permanent deal in the summer with teams in Germany, France and Italy.
