Former Nigeria U20 coach Ladan Bosso has emerged as the favourite of the powers that be in Nigerian sports for the vacant position of the coach of the U23 team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Samson Siasia who was earlier seen as the favourite because of his past achievements with the team isn’t popular as a choice outside the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Bosso who was the coach of the Nigerian U20 team two years ago has admires in the National Sports Commission (NSC), the body that is responsible for the welfare of the team.
In Bosso’s favour is the fact that Siasia has been inactive as a coach for ten years, unlike Bosso who until recently was coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side Barau FC.
Both coaches have been pushing for the role using their contacts both in the NFF and the NSC.
