Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle will use a set of new midfielders when they begin their campaign at the Unity Cup later this month, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Chelle left out his regulars for the tournament in London, but they are expected to return for the high profile friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively in June.
For the tournament which they begin with a game against Zimbabwe in the semi final, Chelle’s midfield options will see the trio of Samson Tijjani of Czech Republic side Dukla Prague, Anthony Dennis of Göztepe in Turkey and Marseille man Tochukwu Nnadi who was at the AFCON.
The trio will form the base of the option available to the coach in midfield, although there is a high chance that one of the trio of Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will likely be included for experience.
Per what we gathered, the list of invited players will be made public in the next 48 hours.
