
Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has invited a total of 27 players to the Nigerian team for the upcoming Unity Cup friendly tournament in London, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Just like we exclusively revealed last week, there is a first time invitation for AIK of Sweden winger Zadok Abu Yohanna who has been a revelation so far this season.
There is also a first time call up for Millwall winger Femi Azeez like we exclusively reveal a few weeks ago. The duo top the list of new players which includes Owen Oseni of Plymouth and Arthur Okonkwo of Wrexham, aside the seven players picked from teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Chelle also handed a recall to the duo of Ebenezer Akinsamiro of Italian Serie A side Pisa, and Tochukwu Nnadi of French Ligue 1 side Marseille. There is also a full invitation for Rafiu Durosinmi who plays for relegated Serie A side Pisa like we reported.
Terem Moffi also makes a return to the team. It’s the same for Samson Tijjani who last played for the team in 2020.
