The senior national team of Nigeria yesterday had their second training session with head coach Eric Chelle and his technical crew drilling the players ahead of tomorrow’s game against Zimbabwe, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chelle had the players under his watch for around one hour starting from the warm up session, before they played a mini game which gave an idea on how they will possibly line up tomorrow.
Francis Uzoho arrived in the camp of the team yesterday afternoon, and barring a late minute change he should start as captain in the absence of the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon who are yet to arrive in camp.
Tomorrow’s game will see Chelle go with a lot of new boys although it could change after today’s session, which is expected to be more intense than the previous sessions.
Chibuike Nwaiwu is sure to start at centre back. The back four for yesterday’s session was largely made up of players from the NPFL. It could change later today with Bruno Onyemaechi and Igho Ogbu expected later today.
Emmanuel Fernandez is also expected to take part today’s session. The midfield will see Tochukwu Nnadi pair the duo of Raphael Onyedika and Ebenezer Akinsamiro. Although Alhassan Yusuf expected arrival later today could change all of that.
In attack Philip Otele has been playing on the left with Femi Azeez of Millwall on the right. Terem Moffi for now is sure to start as the main striker with Rafiu Durosinmi as his deputy.
