Melville United suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat to East Coast Bays in their latest New Zealand National League fixture despite a competitive performance from the home side.
The coaching crew of Melville adjusted their starting lineup with Sham Sataiya Chetty who was making his debut among the new names in the team, in what was a tightly contested game.
Chetty quickly settled into the rhythm of the game and was key in keeping the defence of Melville at bay for large spell of the game especially in the closing stages of the game.
East Coast Bays however secured all three points, but Melville left the game with their heads high, and will look to carry the momentum into their subsequent games.
The result leaves Melville United focused on regrouping ahead of their next National League outing as the team continues to build momentum during the season.
