English Premier League side Brentford have officially promoted Nigeria international defender Benjamin Fredrick to the first team ahead of the start of next season, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Last season Fredrick who was voted the player’s player of the year for the B team of the club was on loan to Belgium side FC Dender, but it was cut short in November after he picked up a meniscus injury.
Now back in full training and ready for next season, he is will team up with the first team directly for pre season training in view of winning a spot in the team for next season.
Brentford have made it clear that he won’t be made available for any loan unlike last season. Already coach Keith Andrew has made it clear that he will be a permanent face in the first team squad.
A full international for Nigeria with eight straight starts in his first eight competitive games, he is back in Nigeria and training with Simoiben Football Academy to keep fit.
