Brighton and Hove Albion beat all comers to the signing of young Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna from Swedish side AIK for a fee in the region of £21m with a further £1.5m in add ons.
The deal has set a lot of discussions going with many questioning the decision of the club to spend a record amount to lure him from the grasp of other teams.
His agent Andrei Balmos and his business partner Roni Layous feel many around Europe will understand the decision of Brighton to part ways with that huge sum for an 18 year old.
Speaking to Greek journalist Dimtris Manakos Balmos said Europe is not ready for what the Ikon Allah FC graduate will do next season. “Europe is not ready for what is coming”, he said.
When asked what Brighton fans could expect from Zadok Yohanna, Balmos answered: “They should expect to see his hunger and how hard he works in training every single day.”
“Without wanting to sound arrogant, they will quickly realise just how talented he is. He is going to achieve great things in football. I am absolutely convinced about that. And let me tell you something else – Europe is not ready for what is coming.”
“I have known him since we was 13-years-old. We first discovered him in a tournament in Nigeria through a project that Roni and I were involved in.”
“Zadok was different to anything else. I could see it immediately. And I will say it again, with arrogance – Europe is not ready for what is coming.”
