Nigeria international defender Ola Aina has picked three players of Nigerian decent whom he believed would have made the team better if they had agreed to play for the senior national team of Nigeria, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Aina who played for England at youth level before making the switch to Nigeria is of the opinion that some players would have lifted the team, if they had follow a similar route.

He isn’t alone with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman and new goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo doing the same. Players like Joe Aribo, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ryan Alebiosu, Emmanuel Fernandez and newly capped Femi Azeez were also eligible for England but opt for Nigeria.
