
Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has picked six players to be a part of his plans for the team when they are back in action in the AFCON qualifiers in September, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The coach was busy with the senior national team of Nigeria very early in the summer starting with the Unity Cup which they won by beating Zimbabwe 2-0, before a 3-0 win over Jamaica in the final.
Up next was a friendly game against Poland which ended in a 2-2 draw, and they rounded up their summer friendly games with a 1-2 defeat to Portugal.
Some players played their way into the plans of the coach during the games, and will now be a part of the team going forward for future games according to a sour source close to the coach.
” I can tell you that Abdullahi Bewene, Arthur Okonkwo, Tochukwu Nnadi, Femi Azeez and Alhassan Yusuf have all played their way into the team. That I can tell you”, he said.
” There is a way to go before the games in September but the names I mentioned are in the plans going forward”.
