
Nigeria U20 winger Suleiman Sani has been told by the hierarchy of German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig that he will be the replacement for want away winger Yan Diomande next season, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Sani joined the team in the January transfer window from Slovakian side AS Trenčín after impressing for the Nigeria U20 team at the World Cup, but a knock picked up in training denied him the chance of making his debut.
He did finally made his debut at an end of the season tour of South Africa, and now back in Germany lumbering up for the start of pre season where he is expected to go straight into the setup.
The idea is to have him step into the shoes of Diomande who is the subject of a bid of €100m by Liverpool, it was rejected with the club valuing him at around €120m. A fee that they might get in add ons and bonsues.
Diomande is presently at the World Cup with Cote d’Ivoire and has so far impressed with an assist to his name picked up in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Curacao. A result that sealed their spot in the round of 32 at the tournament.
