The agent of Philip Otele who recently made his debut for the senior national team of Nigeria is unhappy with the current valuation of the player, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Otele spent last season on loan to German Bundesliga side Hamburg from Swiss side FC Basel. The Germans had the option of signing him permanently after the loan deal but there have not been discussions in that regards.
However he is still keen on an exit from the Swiss side before the close of the summer transfer window, but it won’t be at the price tag that he was on at the start of the season.
His representative told us in an exclusive chat that Basle now values him a lot higher than it was previously, largely due to his debut for the senior national team of Nigeria during the summer.
He played five games for Nigeria during the break including the high profile friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively. The club now believe his fee should be higher.
There are teams already interested in his services but there are fears that they will baulk at the current price tag.
