
Newly appointed head coach of the Nigeria U23 team Eric Chelle has drawn up a list of players based abroad who are eligible to represent the team, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Chelle will in addition to his role as the head coach of the senior national team, is warming up to the idea of ensuring that Nigeria qualifies for the football event of the Olympic for the first time since 2016.
To that effect while he has stepped up the team’s scouting in the local scene, he has also taken a bold step by ensuring that foreign based players are part of his plans from the get go.
We can exclusively reveal that he has already penciled down as many as 35 players within the age limit, who are doing very well in leagues abroad.
A source revealed ten of the players who are in the list of the coach, and it includes recently signed Brighton and Hove Albion winger Zadok Yohanna and RB Leipzig winger Sani Suleiman.
