Nigeria international midfielder Uche Chrisantus has been told he has no future at Spanish side Getafe following his return from a poor loan spell with Crystal Palace, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
During last summer transfer window he pushed for a move to Palace, where a loan deal was agreed for a season with an obligation to sign him permanently for €20m if he makes certain number of appearances.
He failed to meet the target leading to his return to Getafe, where club president Angel Torres stated a few weeks ago that if a satisfactory offer is made he will be allowed to go.
On his part, the 23 year old wants to stay at the club to rebuild his career but it’s still uncertain with offers from teams around Europe, notably fellow LaLiga side Real Betis.
Getafe values him at €15m and won’t stand in his way of an exit as he is seen as the most valuable player in their team, and his sale will help ease the financial burden on the team.
Capped three times by Nigeria at senior level, he fell out of favour with head coach Eric Chelle during his loan spell in England, where he struggled to get game time.
