The decision of Stanley Nwabali to return to PSL side Chippa United came as a surprise to many judging by the manner he left the team in February after returning from the AFCON with Nigeria.
Nwabali mutually terminated his contract with the South African side saying he wants a fresh challenge elsewhere, but after a fruitless search for a team he is now back at the club.
His representative say it’s clear to note that the decision to leave Chippa in the first place was unanimously agreed with the team, and the club made it clear that he will always be welcome if he makes a u-turn.
He said offers came in but from leagues that are not at the level of the PSL in all aspects, bar an enquiry from a newly promoted team in Saudi Arabia which like we reported went silent after a few weeks ago.
Left with no option and with Chippa still available for him, the 30 year old decided to get his career back on track with a team that he is familiar with and an environment that he is well loved and adored.
