Newly capped Nigeria international defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has agreed personal terms on a move to English Premier League side Fulham, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The 22 year old joined Turkish side Trabzonspor in the winter months transfer window, but has already done enough to catch the attention of teams around Europe notably Fulham who have had two bids rejected for him.
Reports from Turkey say while negotiations with Fulham is still ongoing, the player’s camp have reached an agreement on the terms of his wages in the event that an agreement is reached between the clubs.
His camp has informed the club of their client’s intention to leave the team, and all involved are working towards ensuring that the deal works, although not at the current asking price of €40m.
Capped by Nigeria at senior level, he is keen on a move to help establish himself as a regular in the setup of head coach Eric Chelle.
