Newly Promoted Italian Serie A side Venezia have reached an agreement for the signing of Nigeria international striker Jerome Akor Adams from Sevilla, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
An agreement with Sevilla for the arrival of Adams was reached late on the evening of July 10th, following sporting director Antonelli’s visit to Spain .
The deal was worth €16 million plus bonuses, but the final details regarding payment have now been finalized. The Nigerian striker is expected to join Giovanni Stroppa ‘s squad as early as next week, with Monday potentially being a possible date for a medical before signing the contract.
Adams a senior international for Nigeria, could therefore arrive in time to be tested by the coach in the second friendly the Venetians will play in Falcade-following Sunday’s match against Dolomiti Bellunesi-scheduled for Thursday against Vis Pesaro.
