Newly promoted Italian Serie A side Monza are actively recruiting players that will help them prosecute next season after successfully gaining promotion from the Serie B, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
One of their main idea is to ensure that they keep their top flight status after suffering relegation two seasons ago, and the need to recruit young, dynamic players is top of their priority.
They have identified Nigeria international midfielder Ebenezer Akinsamiro as a top option, and talks with Inter Milan where is back at after spending last season on loan to Pisa is said to have reached a conclusion.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the major thing left in the deal is the structure of the deal which will be a permanent transfer, with Inter Milan having the option of a buy back, based on his development.
Last season while at Pisa, he made 24 appearances in the Serie A but was unable to help them beat the drop. However Monza believe in his potential and aims to offer him a central role in their new coaching project, while Inter continues to closely monitor his development for the future.
