The former France Under-21 international has passed a medical and Galatasaray say he has agreed a contract worth £2.25m a year, and will now work towards making it permanent at the end of the season.

A nephew to former Nigeria international defender Onyekachi Apam, his desire has always been to make the step up to the French senior team, but head coach of the Nigerian team Eric Chelle has left the door open if he decides to have a change of mind.

” He (Lesley) is not a priority at the moment, but in the event that he has a change of mind then we can have a discussion. However playing for Nigeria also means having regular games with your club, so he has to do that for it to happen”, a source stated.
