It is the most profitable sale in their history of the club with the striker joining the club six months ago from Czech Republic side Viktoria Plzen on a contract till the summer of 2030. He scored just once and had an assist in 12 games at the club.

He had an offer to join Turkish side Trabzonspor but decided against the option with Genk his long time admirers, and seen as a stepping stone to another top league in the nearest future.
