Nigeria international midfielder Raphael Onyedika has turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad in favour of a move to German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Onyedika is prime for an exit from Club Brugge this summer and talks with his representative is said to be progressing nicely with a decision expected to be reached in the coming days.
Eintracht Frankfurt made their opening offer for the 25 year old who has 26 caps for Nigeria and has also played at two separate AFCONs, and are expecting to hear from the Belgium side.
On his part Onyedika has already accepted the terms proposed to him by the club for his wages, and he is only waiting for both clubs to reach an agreement, despite the fact that there is an offer twice the pay of what the Germans are willing to pay him.
Al Ittihad are however not looking away yet, and will intensify efforts to have him change his mind especially the fact that they are willing to pay above the €30m Club Brugge are demanding.
