Juventus new striker Jeff Ekhator who was signed from fellow Serie A side Genoa says his style of play is similar to that of Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
He made this known during a meet and greet organised by the club for his introduction as a new player in their ranks. He is seen by head coach Luciano Spalleti as a huge improvement to their attack.
“Playing here is no small feat. We’re talking about a top club. Just reading the word ‘Juve’ is enough to get excited”, the striker who is of Nigerian descent revealed.
When asked to compare his style of play with that of Moises Kean or Osimhen, both of whom are this role models, he made it clear that he sees himself in their light.
“Kean? I haven’t had the chance to meet him or speak to him personally yet. I hope to do so in the future. Right now, my qualities mirror his and Osimhen’s: I try to learn as much as I can from them,” he wrote in the columns of Tuttosport.
Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle is a huge admirer of the forward, but will now face a huge battle to have him switch his nationality after his debut for the senior team of Italy in a summer friendly game.
