Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has made a late change to the squad of the team head of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
Nigeria will be involved in AFCON 2027 qualifiers opening their campaign at home against Madagascar on the 25th, before travelling to keep a date with Guinea-Bissau in Morocco four days later.
Chelle made public his list of players for the games and camp officially opened today with their first training session set for later today. The coach invited two separate teams for the qualifiers and another for the friendly game against Russia.
The coach has now decided to alter his squad for the AFCON qualifiers, and add a player to the team for the game against Russia in Moscow, we can exclusively reveal.
Right back Abdullahi Bewene has now been told he can stay back at his club Banik Ostrava, and report for the game against Russia on the 6th of October. He was initially in the team for the AFCON qualifiers.
