Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has dropped a huge hint on his starting lineup for tomorrow’s AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Madagascar, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Yesterday they had another close door session with the 22 players in camp, and Chelle dropped a huge hint on how his team will likely lined up for tomorrow’s game in Uyo.

We can exclusively reveal that Stanley Nwabali will keep his spot in goal with Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi occupying the full back positions. In central defence is where they seem to be a little bit of debate.

Chelle wants to keep the AFCON partnership of Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi, but he is wary of the fact that Ajayi has suffered from niggling issues when made to play games between a short period of time.

The coach will favour a return for Benjamin Fredrick in one of the games to give a proper rest to Ajayi. A final decision is expected to be made after today’s final training session.

Meanwhile the midfield duo of captain Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi will keep their spot with Frank Onyeka operating in a very advanced role.

From what we gathered, the coach experimented with a three man attack of George Ilenikhena, Akor Adams and Ademola Lookman.

However during the session, he also played a three man attack of Moses Simon, Adams and Lookman. Meaning a final decision hasn’t been made yet by the head coach.
