Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has been forced into making another change to his squad for the upcoming friendly game against Russia, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Chelle whose team are coming off a disastrous 0-3 defeat away to Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, listed 24 players for the game in Moscow on the 6th of October.

However team captain Wilfred Ndidi is out of the game alongside two others in Sani Suleiman and Mubarak Suleiman. We can exclusively reveal that another player in FC Basle defender Akpe Victory has also been ruled out.

In a swift response the coach has now extended a first time call up to Tromso of Norway defender Vince Osuji, per what we exclusively gathered the 21 year old who joined the team from Belgium side Club Brugge in the summer has been contacted already.

Osuji spent two years on the books of Club Brugge following his transfer from Swedish side Kalmar. He however failed to make the step up to the main team leading to his free transfer to Tromso.

He is expected to be a part of the U23 team of Chelle, and the coach wants to use the game against Russia to see the 20 year old at close quarters.
