Abdullahi Bewene of Czech Republic side Banik Ostrava says playing for the senior national team of Nigeria has made him a better player than ever, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Bewene made his international debut for Nigeria during the summer international break playing in high profile friendly games against Poland and Portugal respectively.

In both games the 21 year old gave a very good account of himself, leading to many questioning his exclusion from the team that played in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau respectively.

However he is back in the team for tomorrow’s friendly game against Russia, and he said he is much better than he was when he made his debut in June.

” Playing for Nigeria has made my game better, because here in the camp I get to play against the best players in the world in training and also in games. So I am a whole lot better than I was in June”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
