Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has taken a bold step by starting SJK of Finland goalkeeper Samuel James ahead of Stanley Nwabali in today’s friendly game against Russia, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
The coach also dropped Akor Adams in attack for the returning Kelechi Iheanacho with a midfield quartet of Chibuzo Nwoko, Stephen Michael, Igor Wilfred and Aderemi Adeoye.
In defence the back four as we earlier reported has Abdullahi Bewene, Emmanuel Fernandez, Isaac James and Benjamin Fredrick.
Moses Simon who will captain the team starts in attack with his fellow senior player in Kelechi Iheanacho in Chelle’s preferred 4-4-2 diamond.
