Kelechi Iheanacho continued his fine run in front of goal in Turkey with a goal for Bursaspor in their 4-2 away win over Keçiörengücü to send his side to the top of the league table, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.
It was his 16th goal of the season in the Turkish second division, and most importantly he has now found the back of the net in 12 consecutive games, following his summer transfer on a free from Celtic.
A shock transfer which has now turned into a masterstroke as it has earned him a recall to the senior national team of Nigeria, where he scored the opener in the 3-3 draw against Russia.
He is now back in the squad for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers games against Tanzania, largely due to his run of form for Bursaspor who are prime for promotion to the Turkish top division.
Iheanacho is also the first player in the history of Turkish football to score in twelve consecutive games.
