Head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has been very active in getting players of Nigerian descent pledge their international future to the team.

Since his appointment, Chelle has so far capped players with dual nationality like Felix Agu, Arthur Okonkwo, Femi Azeez, Ryan Alebiosu, Emmanuel Fernandez and George Ilenikhena among others.

The coach who insist that luring players with dual nationality is something that other African teams are using to good effect, has pledged to continue his drive to recruit the best legs available for Nigeria.

Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Jeremiaha Maluze who has started the season on a strong footing is open to the idea of playing for Nigeria.

21 year old Maluze was born in Germany to parents of Nigerian descent, but hasn’t been capped at any level leaving him immediately available for selection by Nigeria.

” Yes it’s an option and at this stage of his career you can’t say no to the chance of playing for one or the biggest national teams in world football. It’s a discussion that he is willing to have”, his representative told Owngoalnigeria.com.
