Attempts by the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF ) to get Tanzania to change the proposed time for the AFCON qualifiers game against Nigeria at their home ground has been refused, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Tanzania picked 2pm as the time of kick off, and Nigeria felt around that time the weather will be too hot and in the interest of fair play requested a new time.
Their request was however rejected with Tanzania, who are already through to the tournament as host not willing to shift ground on the timing, leaving Nigeria with no choice but to play the game by that time.
Super Eagles will host Tanzania in Uyo on the 13th of November, before travelling to keep a date with Tanzania on the 17th of November.
Nigeria will go into the games needing two wins to help get their campaign back on track after a 0-3 defeat against Guinea-Bissau in the last game during the last break.
