A total of 24 players have been called up to the camp of the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers back to back game against Tanzania on the 13th and 17th of November respectively, OwnGoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
Although the list hasn’t been made official by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), all the invited players have been contacted and sent their air tickets to arrive the camp of the team in Uyo starting from tomorrow.
The game scheduled for Friday next week will be the first of the two, before the trip to Dar es Salaam for the second game. Nigeria are targeting maximum points from both games to keep their chances alive.
A 0-3 defeat to Guinea-Bissau after an opening 2-1 win against Madagascar means they can’t afford to drop more points with only one team expected to qualify from the group unlike other groups, due to the presence of Tanzania who are one of the hosts of the tournament.
