One of the top scorers in last season Nigeria Professional Football League Chisom Egbuchulam has joined Swedish side BK Hacken.

He failed to secure a move to Tunisian side Etoile Du Sahel and Club Africain at the start of the transfer window, and his recent move has put an end to talks about signing a new deal with Enugu Rangers.

Last season Chisom was the second highest goal scorer in the Nigeria League after scoring 13 goals for Nigeria league champions Enugu Rangers, only new Ifeanyi Ubah forward Godwin Obaje had more goals.

The forward announced his move to the Swedish side after months of speculations on his official social media handle both on Twitter and Facebook.

0

A highly rated prospect in the Nigeria Premier League who plays for one of the teams leading the Nigeria Professional Football League, has being branded an age cheat by a highly respected football agent.

The forward who only recently turned professional one year ago, has been on the radar of the agent for a while, as a matter of fact long before his present breakthrough with a top team in the Nigeria League.

” I have this striker that have been monitoring for a year. When I first saw him I was told he is 19, later I got his passport and he was truly that age but should be 20 in few months time”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Few months later, an agent in Nigeria proposed him to me with a different passport from the first and a new age that he will turn 19 at the end of last year.

” As if that was not enough, I recently discovered from my sources at the office of the League Management Company (LMC) that he is registers as a soon to be 18 years old, how sad?”.

Chrisantus – Osimhen Suffering What I Witnessed At Hamburg, Three Coaches In A Year

0

Former World Youth Championship top scorer Macauley Chrisantus says Victor Osimhen is battling same issues that stopped him from fulfilling his potentials at German club Hamburg.

Just like Chrisantus in 2007, Osimhen moved to German side Wolfsburg after emerging as top scorer at the U-17 World Youth Championship in 2015.

Osimhen only recently became eligible to represent the team in competitive games after clocking 18 in January but in his one year stay at the club, he has already worked with two coaches following the sacking of Dieter Hecking and Valerin Ismael.

Only yesterday the club appointed their third coach of the season in Andreas Jonker, and according to Chrisantus, constant managerial changes during his time at Hamburg didn’t help his career growth, same thing he fears could happen to Osimhen.

” I worked under 5 coaches in my first year at Hamburg. It’s funny because just when you think you are winning the heart of the coach. He is replaced by another”, Chrisantus told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I fear the worst for Osimhen, three coaches in one year with Wolfsburg. Not quite ideal for his growth, moreso when you consider the fact that the Sporting Director who influenced his signing is no longer at the club.

” But he is a strong lad, stronger than me back in the days. So am trusting him to succeed where I couldn’t, he has all it takes to succeed.”

Ndidi Sets New Record For Tackles Won In Leicester City Win Over Liverpool

0

Leicester City 3-1 win over Liverpool helped the club break a poor run of bad results in recent games, with top striker Jamie Vardy scoring a brace for the Foxes.

However their Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi who put in a workaholic performance in the midfield for the entire duration of the game set a new club record for tackles won this season.

Ndidi Won nine tackles against Liverpool; the most any Leicester player has managed in a single league game since the start of last season. Worked well alongside Danny Drinkwater.

His performance played a big role in stifling Liverpool’s impact through the middle as Liverpool German midfielder Emre Can was overran by the 20 year old Nigerian , which lead to Adam Lallana failing to impose himself on the game as opposed to other games .

Despite Vardy’s brace most Leicester City fans voted the Nigerian as the catalyst that propelled them to their first league win in 2017.

Efe To Spend 93 Days On Loan To Hibernian Before Joining Ligue 1 Side Bastia In Summer

Efe Ambrose is to move to Hibernian until the end of the season on an emergency loan deal from Celtic.

STV Sport understands the Nigerian defender will have a medical in Edinburgh on Monday evening.

The deal is expected to last for 93 days, the maximum allowed under the emergency loan system.

Ambrose has just returned to Celtic after a move to Blackburn Rovers collapsed.

He had been poised to move to the English side at the end of the January transfer window but issues with his work permit prevented the move from being completed.

Now Neil Lennon, Ambrose’s former manager at Celtic, is set to add the player to his squad as he aims to take Hibs to the Championship title and promotion to the top flight.

However he will most likely leave Scotland in the summer when his contract expires in the summer at Celtic, and French Ligue 1 side Bastia are presently the favorite to land him on a free transfer.

Speaking on Monday afternoon, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers spoke about Ambrose in glowing terms but admitted he had little chance of forcing his way back into the first team at Parkhead.

“I think it was work permit issues with Efe,” Rodgers said. “It’s unfortunate because he was looking forward to going and getting some game time.

“Unfortunately it didn’t work out that way so he’s back here and in training. It’s very difficult. Efe’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever come across.

“I’ve not known so many players who, when they’re not playing or not even featuring, knock on my door so many times and tell me how much they’re enjoying it.

“Telling me how much he’s enjoying the training and how much he feels he’s getting better in training.”

Rodgers added: “You don’t normally get that nowadays but he’s one of the nicest guys in the world, which is why I always want the best for him and his family.

“If he’s not going to be here at Celtic we want to prepare him for the next opportunity.”

Osimhen To Work With Ex Arsenal Coaches At German Side Wolfsburg

Highly rated Nigerian teen forward Victor Osimhen will work with new set of coaches at German side Wolfsburg following the sacking of former coach Valerien Ismael.

Ismael was sacked after Friday’s 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen, which left Wolfsburg hovering just above the relegation places on the Bundesliga table.

The club confirmed today that Arsenal Academy Chief who worked at the club as an assistant in the past will become the new manager at the Bundesliga side.

They also confirmed fellow Arsenal academy coach Freddie Ljungberg had joined them as part of the coaching crew of the new manager.

Osimhen will be hoping their coming profit him after failing to make his first team debut under Ismael, no thanks to injuries and fitness issues since January when he became eligible to represent the club in competitive games.

Eagles Defender Leon Balogun Sent Off For The First Time In His Career In Mainz 05 II Game

0

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was sent for an early shower by the referee on his return from injury in a game for Mainz 05 II against Preuben Munster.

Balogun was playing his first game of 2017, no thanks to injuries and fitness issues which so saw him play less games towards the end of the year.

The Super Eagles defender has been out injured since the resumption of the league in Germany, but recently returned to full training hence was given a run out with the B team who are campaigning in the third division.

It was not as memorable as the 28 year old would have hoped as he was sent off for two bookable offenses committed in the 27th and 86th minute. The first time he will be sent off in over 1,500 professional games at club and international level.

His sending off didn’t impact much on the result of the game as Mainz 05 II ran out 3-1 winners over Preuben Munster, but Balogun has now been ruled out of the next game of the first team in the league.

Oduamadi has been on the books of the Milan club for 8 years but he has only one first team appearance to his name, as he has been shipped out on loan seven times since joining the team in 2011.

His last loan spell with Finnish side HJK Helsinki was his most productive as he found the back of the net seven times, and made 28 league appearances.

He returned to AC Milan when the season ended in Finland, and despite talks of a possible exit from the club on another loan deal, he is still battling to secure a spot in coach Vincenzo Montella squad.
