Official: Enugu Rangers Lied – Pirates New Signing Emmmanuel Daniel Is A Free Player

0

Nigeria international shot stopper Emmanuel Daniel is a free player, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal after three days of investigations by our editorial team.

Following claims by Enugu Rangers that the 22 year old is still their player after his free transfer to Orlando Pirates of South Africa, our team discovered that there is no truth in their claims.

We gathered from sources at the office of the League Management Company (LMC), that Daniel signed a three year deal with Enugu Rangers when he joined them in 2013 from Shooting Stars of Ibadan.

His contract ended in December 2016. The old management of Enugu Rangers did their best but they failed to convince him to sign an extension to his deal, before they were sacked from office.

The claims by the new General Manager Christian Chukwu that the player is still contractually bonded to them is bewildering considering the fact that he was appointed in January.

Chukwu will have to provide evidence of the extension signed by Daniel to the LMC to prove his case, which we know he can’t provide as Daniel was already in South Africa when the former Super Eagles coach was announced as GM of the Nigeria League champions.

Ojeikere – Rohr Stopped Iheanacho’s China Move, Unhappy With Ideye, Ighalo & Mikel

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr spent the better part of the January 2017 European transfer period talking to Manchester City FC of England embattled striker Kelechi Iheanacho not to join the star-trek to China.

Writing exclusively for the NationSport, Ade Ojeikere revealed, he gathered from a source close to the coach that he is unhappy with the manner in which some of the players he had spoken to not to head for the lucrative Chinese League, ignored his pleas.

The players who have moved to China in the recent Chinese transfer window include captain John Obi Mikel who has been joined at his club Tianjin Teda by fellow Eagles forward Brown Ideye, while Odion Ighalo moved to Changchun Yatai.

Consequently, the source, who didn’t want his name in pront stressed that Rohr had opted to comb Europe to look for Nigerian kids plying their trade in the European Leagues to persuade them to play for Nigeria.

Besides, Rohr has challenged his assistant coaches to comb the domestic leagues and the grassroots for talented players who could break into the main Eagles squad with proper grooming.
