Ndidi Shines As Ahmed Musa Brace Lift Leicester City To Victory Over Everton

It was a debut to remember for Leicester City new signing Wilfred Ndidi as a brace from his fellow country man Ahmed Musa helped his team to a 2-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup.

Ndidi started and put up a strong showing despite joining the team 48 hours ago, but Musa who has been sparingly used by the manager since his big money move in the summer came off the bench to prove his worth.

Musa replaced Leonardo Ulloa with Leicester trailing Everton 0-1, but he turned the tie in the favour of his side with two quick goals within a space of five minutes.

The former CSKA Moscow man turned Gray’s cutback onto the post before reacting ahead of anyone else to draw his side level in the 66th minute.

Four minutes late he played a quick one- two with Danny Drinkwater before curling home a sublime effort to give his side the lead with 20 minutes left to play in the encounter.

Leicester hanged on to pick a vital cup win and send the Tofeess parking from the cup, thanks to Musa’s brilliance which will no doubt enhance his chances of playing more games for the team.

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has been roundly criticised by social media users over the choice of Kelechi Iheanacho as Africa Promising Player of the year 2016.

Iheanacho won same award in 2013 and picked up the young player award in 2015 before winning the promising player award again last night.

CAF was roundly criticized by social media users for once again awarding him an award, he should have outgrown going by his status and club form.

Many suggested that the award was given to him to compensate Nigeria as the host of the award other than on merit as a bigger recognition best suits his status.image
