CSKA MOSCOW Give Ranieri Tips On How To Use Big Money Buy Ahmed Musa

0

A die hard fan of CSKA Moscow Alan Dubrev has advised the manager of Leicester City Claudio Ranieri on how to get the best out of Leicester City record buy Ahmed Musa.

Musa joined the club this summer on a club record transfer fee from CSKA Moscow, although that fee was broken when Leicester splash big on Islam Slimani of FC Porto.

The Nigerian scored 42 goals in the four and half years he spent in Russia with CSKA Moscow after his transfer from VV Venlo of Holland during the 2011/2012 January transfer window.

However the Nigerian is yet to fully integrate into the playing system of the team and according to Dubrev, it’s all down to the role the manager is handing to the 23 year old.

“Musa has pace but he is not a winger, playing him on the wings is restricting him to half of his abilities. He has pace and create goals but his pace is best utilise when he applies it in the box than on the flanks. Take a look at the goals he scored against Barcelona in the pre season friendly?” Dubrev told Owngoalnigeria.com

” When he came to CSKA Moscow, the coaches did same mistake at the start like Ranieri is doing at the moment playing him from the flanks. That season he only scored once although he spent just six months as he joined in January.

” The next season he scored 11 goals after he was given a role as the main striker playing in front of a playmaker in a 4-4-2 system. Since then he has been scoring double digit goals bar the 2013/2014 season when injury slowed him down after 7 goals”.

” He has goals in him, that part of his game has never been in doubt. We want him here and he knows it. He hasn’t been getting games as many would have expected but he is just 20 years old”, Guardiola said.

“There are few players of his age in Europe at the moment who are playing for top teams in top league, but you have to give it to him, he’s positioning and goal scoring sense is rare to find among kids of his age”.

Competitions for a spot in Manchester City attack is expected to be fierce when Gabriel Jesus finally joins the team in January, a transfer which could have an impact on Iheanacho’s career at the club.

So far the Nigerian has been a bit part player for the English Champions this season, with the manager relegating the Nigerian to the role of fourth choice striker at the club.

” Musa is not getting games, it’s quite unbelievable, how will he settle if he doesn’t play” a fan asked on twitter.

” Ahmed Musa is suppose to add raw pace to our attack, how Ranieri doesn’t think so is a mystery. If he doesn’t want to play him then he should send him back to Russia” another fan asked after the 2-0 defeat to Everton.

Ikeme Shines As Wolves Edge Controversial Five Goal Thriller, Rewarded With New Deal

0

Super Eagles number one shot stopper Carl Ikeme helped his team Wolverhampton Wanderers pick up their second consecutive win in the Championship starring in their 3-2 win over Bristol City.

Despite conceding twice, once from Anglo Nigerian forward Tammy Abraham, the Wolves shot stopper was big when he needed to be for his team, and can largely be excused for the goals his team conceded.

There was drama in the game in the 90th minute when what looked like a legitimate goal by Bristol City wasn’t awarded by the referee, despite the ball clearly crossing the line.

If the goal has stood, it would have ended 3-3 but no thanks to the lack of goal line technology in the Championship, the goal which video replays clearly showed cross the line wasn’t given.

Aside the controversial moment, Ikeme the 30 year old Wolves shot stopper is close to agreeing a new deal with the Molineux outfit with his current deal set to run out next summer.

Ikeme, who came through the academy at Wolves and has established himself as the club’s number one keeper in the past four seasons, has publicly stated he is keen to sign a new deal.

And Thelwell said positive discussions had taken place as recently as this week.

“We’re not quite there yet but we’ve had really good discussions,” he said.

“Things are progressing well and we’d be hopeful of securing him for the future.

“We’re not there yet but discussions are ongoing.”

Wolves went into the season with three senior players – Ikeme, David Edwards and skipper Danny Batth – all in the last year of their contracts.

BREAKING – Everton Manager Ronald Koeman Wrap Up Deal For Highly Coveted Nigerian Prospect

He is reportedly being tracked by host of English Premier League clubs but it appears Everton have won the race for his signature in a deal reportedly worth over £10m.

The highly rated 19 year old is widely regarded as one of the finest talent in English football with 10 goals from 45 first team appearances for the Addicks.

Lookman is expected to add firepower to the forward line of Everton as manager Ronald Koeman seek an alternative to top scorer Romelu Lukaku, who could be in need of a rest as the season progresses.

My Son, Not You – Yaya Embarasses Iheanacho Over Man Of The Match Mix-Up On Live TV

0

A mild mix up ensued between Manchester City duo Yaya Toure and Kelechi Iheanacho during the presentation of the man of the match award shortly after their 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Toure was named man of the match, after an all-action display which culminated in him scoring the first, and decisive, goal from the penalty spot.

Iheanacho, who had added the second of City’s three was also invited to give his post-match thoughts, and both men seemed to be giving the TV cameras the sort of platitudes expected after a hard-fought, but expected, Premier League win.
But then came the awkward moment as Toure, who had earlier in the interview mentioned that it was his son’s birthday on Christmas Day, was handed the award.

‘Oh nice, thank you very much, I will give it to my boy then,’ said the Ivorian midfielder.
Iheanacho, however, had presumably not been listening to the heart-warming tale of Toure Jnr telling his father he was destined to score a Boxing Day goal, and assumed that ‘my boy’ was simply a term of endearment for Toure Snr’s Nigerian team-mate.

The striker reached out to take the award he thought he was being given, only for Yaya to start laughing, slap his hand away and say: ‘No, it’s not you, my boy!’
Toure than wandered off, laughing along with the interviewer, as Iheanacho looked confused and, let’s face it, a little hurt.

Still, as the young forward had told us three times in his interview beforehand, the most important gift for City was the three points, so maybe he won’t be too disappointed to have missed out on the personal award.

New Song For Iheanacho By City Fans – He Rarely Plays , He Often Score ….

0

Fans of Manchester City have formed a new song for their Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho after he came off the bench, and scored in their 3-0 win over Hull City.

The away fans were giving a huge relief when the Nigerian scored City’s second goal to put them two goals ahead, before a Curtis Davies own goal wrapped up a comprehensive win for the former Premier League kings.

Manager Pep Guardiola has so far not given the Nigerian playing time as expected by many, even when top striker Sergio Kun Aguero was suspended for five games.

Iheanacho’s goal which has made him the striker with the best minute to goal ratio in the history of the Premier lead to the fans singing out his name, while questioning his lack of playing time.

” He rarely Plays, He often Scores, He Is Iheanacho, He Just Scored Again”, they sang at the KCOM Stadium.
