Kano Pillars forward Prince Aggreh has joined Stabaek of Norway after impressing the team handlers during a two week trial period, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

“It’s a done deal, a four year deal from my own understanding, it will become official in the next 24-48 hours, a source close to the player told Owngoalnigeria.com

Aggreh joined Kano Pillars this season from Sunshine Stars but has established himself as one of the mainstay of the team with six goals to his name.

He was a member of the B team of the Nigeria senior national team that failed to progress past the first group stage of the Africa Nations Champions (CHAN) in Rwanda.

The pacy forward, who can operate on either flank or as a central striker will be required to weigh in his own fair share of goals to help 13th placed Stabaek beat the drop.

Atlanta Airport has reminded Nigerians about what happened 20 years ago, when the Nigerian male football team arrived Atlanta late but yet won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympics.

This time around, the Nigeria male football team are scheduled to arrive Brazil, host of the 2016 Olympics few hours to their opening game against Japan after a row over flight from their base in the USA to Manaus.

Posting on their official Twitter handle @ATLairport, the Atlanta Airport posted about what lead to the Nigeria team late departure before reminding Nigerians about same situation that happened 20 year ago when Nigeria won gold.

The late departure could be a good omen according to the airport authority but it could also mean they are simply mocking Nigeria, for allowing same thing to happen after 20 years.

Hot on the heels of Dele Aiyenugba departure from Bnei Yehuda, 27 year old Nigerian forward Jude Nworuh has also left the team for fellow Israeli side Bnei Sakhnin.

Former Super Eagles shot stopper Aiyenugba left Bnei Yehuda for newly promoted Premier League side Hapoel Ashkelon as reported by Owngoalnigeria.com yesterday. Nworuh will however be heading to the team that finished 5th last season.

The forward played 22 games for Bnei Yehuda last season, scoring 7 goals in the process for the team that finished 8th on the log in the Isreali Premier League.

He started his career in Denmark with FC Midtjylland, where he spent six seasons before heading to another Danish team in Horsens from where he moved to Israel last season.

His best goal scoring season still remains the 2010/2011 season when he scored 14 times for second division Fredericia during a season long loan spell.

Leicester City record signing Ahmed Musa says he has shifted his focus to Sunday’s Community Shield clash against Manchester United, after his two goals heroics in the Foxes 2-4 loss to Barcelona.

Relatively Unknown Nigerian Forward Begins Trial With Sfaxien Of Tunisia

19 year old Nigerian forward Victory Omodiagbe is currently undergoing trials with Tunisian side CSS Sfaxien, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Omodiagbe trained with the Flying Eagles team of 2015 prior to the African Youth Championship in Senegal, and even made the preliminary list of 35 players for the tournament.

However he missed out on the final list of players for the tournament which Nigeria won, despite scoring close to four goals for the team during test games while in camp.

He was reportedly on the radar of Belgium champions KAA Gent as at 2014, and also had trials with some teams abroad without bagging a deal.

The 36 Lions forward shares same agent with Al-Ahly bound Sfaxien forward Junior Ajayi, and he could replace his fellow country man at the Tunisian side if he impresses the team handlers during test games.

New Manager of Chelsea Antonio Conte, has from all indication suggest that Nigerian forward Victor Moses will finally get his chance at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Nigerian is back at Stamford Bridge, after straight loan deals away from the club and has taken their pre season games by storm with performances that has earned him praise from the Italian manager.

In their last game against AC Milan, Moses was handed another start by Conte and the 25 year old didn’t disappoint the manager as he was his usual industrious self untill he was replaced in the second half.

Nigeria U-23 Ace Junior Ajayi Makes 800 Million Naira Move To Egyptian Giants Al-Ahly

Nigeria Under-23s forward Junior Ajayi has agreed to a transfer reportedly worth $2.5m (800,000000NGN) to join Egyptian giants Al-Ahly from CSS Sfaxien of Tunisia.

Ajayi will sign a four year deal with the Cairo based side, and will team up with the team after Nigeria’s campaign at the Olympics, where he is set to lead the line for the Nigeria Under-23s.

The forward who joined Sfaxien from Nigeria Premier League side Shooting Stars, will according to his agent Mohammed Ouaddeni, replace Gabonese International Malick Evouna who left the Egyptian side for Chinese team Tianjin Teda.

“The deal is 100% done, Al Ahly and Sfaxien have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Ajayi to Al Ahly,” Mahmoud Ouaddeni told CBC channel.

“Announcement of the deal will take place in the coming hours. The player will sign the contract via e-mail due to his presence with the Nigeria U-23 team in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic games.”

“Negotiations begun to take a serious shape after Al Ahly closed the Ali Maaloul deal with the Tunisian club. Ajayi is a big threat on goal as a center forward but can also play on the wings,” Ouaddeni concluded.

Leicester City record buy Ahmed Musa, almost inspired a comeback for his team against Barcelona, by scoring twice after coming on as a second half substitute, in a pre season game at the ongoing International Champions Cup.

23 year old Musa, signed from Russian Champions CSKA Moscow was introduced by Manager Claudio Ranieri after the half time break with the English Champions trailing the La-Liga Champions 3-0.

Musa wasted no time in making his mark in the game with a stunning solo run from almost the half way line to slam in his first of the night, before roofing in a second with an effort in the box.

Coach Manu Garba has named burly midfielder Abduljabar Sani as captain of the new set of Nigeria U-17 team, Golden Eaglets, ahead of Saturday’s Africa
U-17 qualifier against Niger Republic at the National Stadium, Abuja.

Sani, sourced from Jos-based G-Smart Academy, has been one of the mainstays of the new-look Golden Eaglets. 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup-winning coach Garba told thenff.com that the choice of Sani as well as his assistants, was based on merit and sound behavioural conduct.

“We have been watching all the players over time and there is no doubt
that Abduljabar has been very outstanding in terms of performance and
general attitude amongst his colleagues,” explained Garba. “He is level-headed and we have also seen in him leadership qualities, and also he mixes freely with other players.”

To assist Sani are defender Igoh Ogbu and goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleke who Garba described as exemplary and outstanding in their respective positions on the field: “Igoh and Adebayo are very outstanding players with strong personalities; Igoh for instance is like my former captain, Musa Muhammed with his commitment to the game while Adebayo is one of the best goalkeepers I have seen at this level in all my life in youth football; myself and the technical team believe they would both complement Abduljabar.”

Incidentally, Sani, who was captain of G-Smart Academy on his way to the national camp, said he was humbled by his choice as Golden Eaglets’ captain, saying he was ready for the demand of leading Nigeria to glory: “I’m very happy to be named the captain; Insha Allah (by the grace of Allah), we shall win our matches.”
