Opponents Are Targeting Slow Super Eagles Defenders – Ex Super Eagles Coach Warns Ahead Of World Cup Qualifiers

0

Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr says opponents have found a weakness in the senior national team of Nigeria which they used during the course of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Rohr’s team Benin Republic qualified alongside Nigeria from their group in the AFCON qualifiers and both teams will go head to head once again next year, when the qualifiers for the 2026 world cup resumes.

The coach who handled Nigeria for a period of above five years was asked about the main issue he thinks the Super Eagles suffered from in the qualifiers, which they ended with a 1-2 loss to Rwanda at home. Rohr’s team got whipped in Nigeria by the Austine Eguavoen led team before securing a 1-1 draw at their adopted home ground in Cote d’ Ivoire.

” I think most teams know that their central defenders are not the quickest and without Semi Ajayi they look suspect defending set pieces against my team and also Rwanda. It’s something that we tried to exploit just like other teams during the qualifiers”, he stated.

He however warned the other teams in the Super Eagles group for the world cup qualifiers not to rate the team based on the performance in the AFCON qualifiers, when hostilities resume in the world cup qualifiers in March next year.

” It will be very wrong to say the team we saw in the AFCON qualifiers will be the same next year so the world cup qualifiers. My team won’t be the same as well. I know the Nigerian team very well and they can turn it up when the need arises”, he concluded.

36 Year Old Defender Stars In Europa League Against Spurs, Open To Helping Super Eagles In World Cup Qualifiers

One of the star performers for Scottish side Rangers in their 1-1 draw against English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League is out of favour Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Balogun played the final 55 minutes of their draw against Spurs following his introduction in the second half, and he followed that up with another 65 minute of action in yesterday’s old firm derby loss to Celtic 8-7 on penalties with both sides locked at 3-3 after regulation time.

So far he has played in 16 games this season in all competitions, just three games short of his total number of games in all competitions last year for the same team. A testament to his return to the form that made him a fan favorite with the senior national team of Nigeria.

However he hasn’t been in the team the past two years, denying him the chance to add to his 46 caps for the team. Age and a poor club form is cited as one of the reasons he hasn’t been in the team by sources but his turnaround this season could force a rethink.

On his part , sources say the 36 year old is still available for a call up and will no doubt say yes if he is included in the team for the world cup qualifiers game against Rwanda in March.

I Want To Play For Super Eagles Not England – High Flying 22 Year Old Tells Eguavoen

It has so far been a season to remember for 21 year old Sheffield United defender Femi Seriki who is enjoying a breakthrough season at the Championship side, who are gunning for promotion back to the English Premier League.

Seriki has played in 11 games this season for the leaders of the English Championship. It has been a remarkable season for the right back who is nicknamed Cafu due to the similarities in his style of play with that of the legendary Brazilian full back.

Eligible for both Nigeria and England his international future is one that will no doubt become a tug if he maintains his rise, and help the team to promotion to the English Premier League and keep his spot in the team.

However his intention is not for any of that to happen as he is clear that his desire is to play for the Super Eagles. He is yet to be capped by any of the countries at any levels.

” He (Femi) is a Super Eagles through and through and when the time is right he will definitely play for the team. For now he wants to grow his club career and play his role in helping Sheffield United gain promotion to the Premier League”, his representative revealed.

Playing For Super Eagles Revived Lookman’s Career – Agent Tells Chelsea’s Trio Who Snubbed Nigeria

0

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman who is the top favourite to be named as the new Africa Player of the Year later today at the CAF Awards, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

The rise of Lookman as a top contender for the award is coming on the back of a splendid year for club and country, where he followed up an impressive performance for Nigeria at the AFCON with a hattrick in the 3-0 Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Commenting on his rise to the top, Akinyele Kingsley a football intermediary says it all changed for the 27 year old when he decided to pledge his international future to Nigeria, after representing England at various youth levels including winning the U20 World Cup.

” Lookman was a journey man at some point in his career, but playing for Nigeria at senior level gave him the much needed tag of a senior international and it made it easy for Atalanta to take a gamble on him. Remember when he played for Nigeria he was surplus to requirements at RB Leipzig. He had two separate loan spells at some point”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

” It is why I feel the duo of Tosin Adarabiyio and Carney Chukwuemeka are not helping their careers by not committing to Nigeria. As for Lesley Ugochuckwu anyone telling him he will play for France at senior level needs to be jailed because he is no where near the top ten in his position in the French setup”, he concluded.

Sadiq spent a little over two years at the club scoring 43 goals with 19 assists in 84 games. He was key to their promotion to the LaLiga two seasons ago. He also holds the record for the highest amount of goals scored by an individual in a single season at the club.

Presently at Real Sociedad where he is struggling to hit his physical best after spending a year out with an ACL injury. It has led to him getting limited game time which has in turn affected his confidence in front of goal.

His situation has left the fans of Almeria who are pushing for a return to the LaLiga to demand for his return two years after he left them for Real Sociedad.

” Fans of Almeria have been sending him messages on social media to return in January. They are presently second on the table and believe he will help them to finish strong at the end of the season”, Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman who is close to the lanky forward revealed.

” By mid December we will know his next career move, but before then he will keep giving his best in training and whenever he is played. One thing you can take away from him is his professionalism. He isn’t sulking or making excuses just working hard to get his spot back”.

Football has long been Nigeria’s most beloved sport, uniting fans across generations and regions. In 2024, the way Nigerians experience football has changed dramatically, thanks to the rapid rise of streaming platforms. Offering greater accessibility, personalized features, and interactive elements, these platforms have redefined how fans connect with the beautiful game.

Streaming Puts Football at Fans’ Fingertips

Gone are the days when fans had to rely on cable networks or catch highlights hours after the final whistle. Streaming platforms now provide instant access to live games, replays, and exclusive content, ensuring that fans never miss a moment of the action.

A recent study on top sports streaming trends highlights how football dominates global streaming. In Nigeria, this trend has been fueled by the growing adoption of smartphones, affordable data plans, and an insatiable passion for the sport. Streaming has made it easier than ever for fans to follow their favorite teams, whether local clubs or international giants.

Expanding Access to Global Football

Streaming platforms have opened up a world of opportunities for Nigerian football fans by providing access to leagues and tournaments from every corner of the globe. From the English Premier League to La Liga, fans can now watch their favoriteteams and players without geographical restrictions.

This expanded access has also introduced Nigerian fans to other football cultures, creating a deeper appreciation for the sport’s global appeal. Streaming services have helped bridge the gap between local and international football, enriching the fan experience.

Interactive Features Keep Fans Engaged

One of the standout innovations in football streaming is the integration of interactive features. Platforms now offer live chats, fan polls, and even prediction games that allow fans to engage with the action in real-time.

For instance, during a UEFA Champions League match, Nigerian fans can discuss key moments, share their predictions, and cheer on their teams together. These features create a sense of community, transforming matches into shared experiences that transcend physical distances.

Local Football Gets a Boost

Streaming hasn’t just benefited international football—it’s also had a profound impact on Nigeria’s local football scene. Platforms are now broadcasting domestic leagues and tournaments, giving Nigerian clubs and players a chance to showcase their talent to a wider audience.

This increased visibility has attracted new sponsorship opportunities and fostered greater interest in grassroots football. By making local matches accessible to fans across the country, streaming has helped rekindle passion for Nigerian football at all levels.

The Challenges of Football Streaming in Nigeria

While streaming has revolutionized football viewership, it’s not without its challenges. Limited internet penetration in rural areas and the high cost of data remain significant barriers for many Nigerian fans. Additionally, subscription fees for premium platforms can deter some viewers, particularly in economically disadvantaged regions.

To address these issues, platforms are exploring ad-supported models and partnerships with telecom providers to offer affordable streaming options. These efforts are crucial for ensuring that all fans, regardless of location or income, can enjoy the benefits of streaming.

Choosing the Right Streaming Service

With the rise of football streaming, fans now have access to a plethora of platforms, each offering unique features and benefits. From live coverage to on-demand replays, the options are endless. For fans seeking the best streaming experience, a comprehensive guide to sports streaming services offers valuable insights into which platforms deliver top-notch content and user experiences.

Streaming platforms are also investing in AI-driven personalization, offering tailored content recommendations based on individual viewing habits. These advancements promise to make the football streaming experience even more immersive and enjoyable for Nigerian fans.

Conclusion

Football streaming has transformed the way Nigerian fans experience the sport, offering unparalleled access, interactivity, and personalization. Whether cheering for local clubs or global icons, fans now have the tools to connect with the game like never before.

As platforms continue to innovate, the possibilities for enhancing the football experience are endless. From breaking down barriers to building communities, streaming is reshaping the future of football in Nigeria, ensuring that the beautiful game remains at the heart of the nation’s culture.

Market Trends and Legalization of Malaysia Online Slot Casino Industry

The gambling industry has emerged as a dynamic player in the entertainment market, gaining significant attention from mainstream media. Particularly in Malaysia, the sector has witnessed rapid growth, driven by the popularity of online gambling platforms. Among the strategies capturing headlines is the “free credit no deposit” model, which lowers entry barriers for new players while reshaping the way games are accessed and enjoyed. This article explores the industry’s economic scale, legalization trends, and the integration of free credits into modern gameplay.

The Role of Free Credit in Attracting New Players

Free credit promotions, particularly those requiring no deposits, have become a core component of online gambling platforms. These offers allow users to experience games without financial commitment, providing a low-risk introduction to platforms and their offerings.

  1. How to Claim Free Credit
    • Most platforms require users to register for a free account. This process is straightforward, often involving basic details such as an email address or phone number.
    • After registration, the free credit is automatically credited to the account, or users may need to activate the offer via a simple verification step, such as confirming their email address.
  2. Usage Scenarios and Limitations
    • Time Restrictions: Free credits typically come with a validity period—players might need to use them within a week of registration.
    • Game Eligibility: These credits are often restricted to specific games, such as selected online slots or live dealer tables.
    • Wagering Requirements: Players may need to meet a certain wagering threshold (e.g., 10x the credit value) before withdrawing any winnings earned from the free credit.

By offering such transparent terms, platforms create an accessible and user-friendly environment that appeals to beginners.

Economic and Legal Impacts on Malaysia’s Gambling Industry

Media analysis highlights that Malaysia’s gambling sector contributes significantly to the economy. The integration of free credit models has attracted a diverse audience, increasing user engagement and driving market growth. Legalization efforts have further legitimized the industry, allowing platforms to operate under clear regulatory frameworks. This shift has not only improved player trust but also drawn foreign investment and boosted job creation across associated sectors like technology, payments, and customer support.

Live Dealer Games: Adding a Social Element to Gambling

One of the most transformative innovations in online gambling is the rise of live dealer games. These games simulate the experience of a physical casino through real-time video streams, enabling players to interact with professional dealers. Popular titles such as baccarat, roulette, and blackjack are now accessible from the comfort of players’ homes.

Free credit promotions often extend to live dealer games, allowing users to explore this highly interactive format without financial risk. For instance, a player could use their credits to participate in a live roulette game, learning the rules and strategies while engaging with the dealer and other players. This model encourages long-term engagement by showcasing the platform’s value in a risk-free setting.

The gambling industry’s adoption of free credit no deposit models and live dealer innovations is reshaping the entertainment market, particularly in Malaysia. These approaches not only provide accessible and engaging experiences for players but also contribute to the industry’s economic and regulatory growth. As technology continues to evolve and legalization progresses, the gambling sector is set to reach new heights.

World Cup Qualifiers – NFF Chiefs Favour A Return To Labbaddia Who Turned Down Super Eagles Job In August

0

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is leaning towards hiring a German coach as the substantive coach of the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of the start of the world cup qualifiers in March, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria prosecuted the entirety of the qualifiers for the AFCON with interim coach Austine Eguavoen successfully leading them to qualifying for the tournament next year in Morocco.

He is however expected to return to his role as the technical director of the NFF, with a foreign coach expected to lead the team for the world cup qualifiers, where they are 5th in their 6 team group and without a win in four games so far.

Trailing the leaders Rwanda by four points, the NFF have taken the search for a coach that will rescue the team to Germany, where they earlier failed to land Bruno Labbaddia.

The NFF are settling for a German because they are very particular about team organization and discipline, which has been a source of concern since the departure of former coach Gernot Rohr in 2021.

Labbaddia was announced as the new coach of the team in September, but in a dramatic twist he confirmed that the deal has collapsed following a disagreement of payment of his taxes.

It’s still nclear if he is going to be reconsidered for the job, but he certainly still has the backing of several top shots in the NFF who are of the opinion dthat the impasse that led to his rejection can be scorrected.

They feel it’s better to resolve the issue of his tax payment rather than start an entire new process of hiring another coach, with little time left before the team resumes for the qualifiers with a game away to Rwanda.
