No Team Will Pay €100m For Victor Osimhen – Agent Tells Napoli President

0

The president of Aurelio De Laurentiis has been told that his valuation of Nigerian Victor Osimhen is way above what his real value is by Italian football agent Marco Gentilo.

Napoli are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €100 million for the Nigerian with talks of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal as well as fellow Series A side AC Milan.

Osimhen confirmed that he will be staying at the club for many more years putting an end to speculation but Gentilo insist it is only logical for him to pledge his future to Napoli as their valuation of him is excessive.

He said Osimhen hasn’t quite lived up to his price tag hence placing a €100 valuation on him is excessive despite the fact that the transfer market is currently inflated.

” No club will pay €100 million for Osimhen who is still in the potential room. He doesn’t have the numbers to justify the fee paid to sign him from Lille. How can he now be valued higher”, Gentilo said in a chat with OwnGoalNigeria.com.

” I know the market is inflated but there are still valuations that is to me and other a joke. Nothing more than a joke. It’s wise Osimhen stays at Napoli. It’s only logical”, he concluded.

He Plays For Himself – Ex Watford Coach Hodgson Speaks On Coaching Emmanuel Dennis

0

Former coach of Watford Roy Hodgson says Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis need to less individualistic in his style of play if he wants to fulfill his potential.

Hodgson manager the Nigerian before departing following the relegation or the club. He however left a word for Dennis who had emerged as one of the few success story in what has been a poor campaign for Watford.

Dennis will end the season as top scorer for Watford with ten goals from 33 games. A respectable tally by all standards but Hodgson while speaking after the game against Brentford admonished the Nigerian and his Senegalese counterpart Ismaila Sarr to be less individualistic in their approach.

“The Brentford game was one of his better days — not only individually but also as a team player so I wouldn’t want to criticise him,” Roy Hodgson — one of three coaches to oversee his development this season — told The Athletic.

“He and Sarr are very individualistic players and we have worked hard with them and the rest of the team to get them to bring their straw to the water when it comes to team play and I didn’t see any massive errors from them on that part (against Brentford). Dennis will feel pleased with his performance because he was quite dangerous and he scored a goal.”

I Have Scored 21 Goals This Season – Paul Onuachu Hit Back At Critics

0

Nigeria international forward Paul Onuachu had hit back at critics over his performances this season after failing to hit same heights like he did for Genk last season in the Belgium league.

Last season Onuachu scored 33 goals in the league, 42 in all competitions.  He was widely expected to leave for a top team in a tougher league but the deal didn’t happen and many expected him to match or surpass his last season tally.

So far that hasn’t been the case but in response to criticism over his form, he has called for respect by pointing out the goals he has scored this season as a sign that it hasn’t been so bad a season even though he hasn’t hit same height like last season.

“I feel good, score again and now I have 21 goals. Not bad, right? The goal is still to play European football and if we win against Ghent on Sunday, I think we will fight for a European ticket too” he concludes warily.

Age Detector Test Knocks Out Key Players From Nigeria U17 Team

0

There is pandemonium in the camp of the U17 team of Nigeria after 75% of the 120 players picked from two weeks screening exercise failed the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test done to curb the menace of age cheats.

Led by coach Nduka Ugbade, the crew are having a tough time handling the news as most of the players who failed the test are players they have been working closely with the past few weeks.

The players were the ones who have been playing all of the team’s test games ahead of the WAFU U17 tournament in one month time. It means they will now start another round of screening which will last a week leaving them with just three weeks or less to prepare for the tournament.

” We will start another round of screening immediately. The scan results knocked out 75% of the team. Most of them regulars. To be honest it has set us back and we are now in a race against time to be ready for the tournament”, a member of the backroom staff told OwnGoalNigeria.com.

I Want To Stay At Napoli- Osimhen Turns Down Manchester United Interest In Signing Him

0

Nigeria and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has pledged his future to Napoli in the wake of rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League side with a fee of around €100 million quoted by sources close to the club as what they want as transfer fee.

AC Milan who are about to be taken over by new wealthy owners are also linked with a move for the 23 year old as part of their rebuilding process but he has now played down all of the rumours.

In an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss, the forward said his immediate future is to the Serie A side with his sight on winning the title next season with Napoli under coach Luciano Spalleti.

“I hope to continue with Luciano Spalletti as manager for many years. I wanna tell Napoli fans that we’ll fight to win the league next year, we can do it”, he told Kiss Kiss Napoli.

How to Obtain a South African Sportsbook Licence

0

African emerging markets are exciting bookmakers in South Africa and  grabbing the attention of industry operators and investors. However, the Republic of South Africa has long been recognized as a renowned, booming market, one that might give operators a firm foundation to build on as they expand across the continent into bet-loving countries like Nigeria and Kenya.

The betting market in South Africa

South Africa boasts the third-highest GDP on the continent, after only Egypt and neighboring sports betting hotspot Nigeria. It’s no surprise, given the country’s broad love of sports, that it’s also Africa’s largest gambling industry – South African national GGR is predicted to exceed $2.3 billion by 2023.

In 2022, how and why should you become a bookmaker in South Africa?

The land-based casino segment continues to earn the majority of this revenue. Land-based casino gaming, on the other hand, has been dropping for years, as shown in the graph below. Even before the worldwide coronavirus outbreak, during which South Africa implemented among of the world’s harshest lockdown measures, the share of GGR generated by land-based casino gambling in South Africa had been steadily declining.

In South Africa, how do you obtain a sportsbook license?

Each of the country’s nine provinces has its own gaming and betting regulating organization. The nine authorities. Each province will have its own application procedure, criteria, and papers to complete. Because of the province’s large concentration of wealth, new operators will apply to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board for a license.

What are the requirements for an online sportsbook?

While the license is being processed, you may begin working on the technical aspects of your online betting site.

Quality platform software is an important must. This comprises a strong and smooth-running backend that can handle enormous levels of traffic without crashing, as well as a frontend tailored to your target market’s preferences (and local language). South Africa has eleven official languages, but if you can’t offer a version of your site in all of them, English and Afrikaans will throw the largest possible net.

Of course, an online gaming platform is useless unless it has content – in this case, betting options. You’ll need live data feeds spanning a range of sports disciplines to determine odds and provide players with the up-to-the-minute information they’ve come to expect. Punters should always have a variety of events to bet on – many bettors love putting many wagers at the same time.

When it comes to payment processing, players in various locations have distinct needs. Online sportsbooks should always accept deposits and withdrawals in the local currency of their market of operation — South African Rand (ZAR) in this case — but cryptocurrencies are gaining popularity, so accepting Bitcoin or Ethereum isn’t a terrible idea.
